Do I need experience to train here?
No experience is required to start at all! We make all our classes beginner friendly and start from the ground up with all techniques. We love to see new faces and develop each individual persons skill set. 

What do I wear to class?
Your workout attire depends on the class you attend.
DiRty30 classes only require athletic shorts/pants and t-shirt.
Grappling classes require athletic shorts/pants and t-shirt (preferably grappling shorts and rash guard).
Striking Classes require athletic shorts/pants and t-shirt and also require either boxing gloves and/or shin pads depending on which discipline. Boxing only requires gloves and kickboxing and muay thai require gloves & shin pads. 
*mouthpiece for grappling classes is encouraged but optional


How much does it cost to train?
We have several pricing options available, please visit the *Pricing* page on the website or feel free to gives us a call or stop by the gym. We would be happy to help you with all your questions!

How much does it cost to drop-in?
Everyone will receive a FREE TRIAL CLASS for residents. If you are visiting from out of town and just want to drop-in for a class, just stop by and talk to us and we will gladly welcome you to train. Open Mat on Fridays from 5:30pm-7pm is free & open to public!

Do I have to be in shape to start training in Grappling and/or Striking?
You do not need to be in shape to join us–you join us to get in shape! Workouts are modified and structured so everyone gets an effective workout and suits all body types. Your current level of fitness will not hinder your ability to participate. 

I am not very flexible or coordinated, will this affect my training?
Flexibility and coordination are not required to start, but will both improve with time doing the classes. We incorporate specific drills and equipment aid with coordination and accuracy.

Am I going to get hit when I start training?
Absolutely not. All adult striking classes are geared toward learning technique, timing, speed, and power. These are all developed through instruction, heavy bag work, focus mitt training and partner drilling. You will never have to worry about getting hit in these classes. Sparring is offered separate from regular class times and is an invite only session.

What if I have experience in a different martial art?
Experience in another martial arts is a great bonus! Your body mechanics, fitness, agility, and timing will help you ease into a new art. Thats what makes Mixed Martial Arts so unique is all backgrounds and experiences can be utilized into one free flowing style. 

If I train here do I need to become a fighter?
You do not need to become a fighter to join our team. Individual goals differ from person to person. We have members that range from retirees to young, hungry, up & comers! We will help you achieve whatever your martial arts goals are!

Can I use this for self-defense?
Yes! Mixed martial arts training is by far the most realistic sport to best equip you with the most effective self defense techniques. No other martial art or activity in the world can replicate real life applications better than mixed martial arts training.

Can I lose weight doing Grappling and Striking classes?
Yes, you can definitely lose a ton weight doing striking and grappling classes. These classes offer a very unique workout and naturally spike your heart rate with fun, exciting, engaging workouts! You can easily burn loads calories in an hour before you even know it! DiRty30 classes specialize in high intensity interval training geared toward calorie burning stations while incorporating MMA style workouts so you get a killer workout while learning awesome techniques.

Is Grappling and Striking for women?
Grappling and Striking is for everyone! We highly encourage women to step out their comfort zone and challenge themselves to an unique informative workout! All of our members are extremely helpful and respectful and welcome both men and women of any experience level to join our team!

Is Grappling and Striking for kids?
Martial arts are a great way for your children to get exercise, learn new skills, and meet new friends. The most effective anti-bullying practices in the world are found in MMA gyms. The confidence, mind set, and respect on top of the actual technique that will be acquired through our doors is second to none and we highly recommend enrolling your child in martial arts classes at a MMA gym. Both for fitness and ability to defend themselves and others through our BULLYPROOF techniques. 

Is there an age limit for Grappling or Striking?
No age limit at all. We love seeing retirees come to class just as much as a young people! The way our classes are designed is to challenge all members of all ages!
